Christmas in Marshall
Marshall Presbyterians are busy getting ready for Christmas! The community choir practices Tuesday evenings in November, Thursday evenings in December - come join the jubilant music led by Kenny Cheek.
Start the season with a delightful evening of music: the Steve Davidowski and Friends Neighbors in Need concert will be December 4th, 7pm.
The float will be built December 10th for the December 13th Christmas parade. Come join the fun! Children are welcome to ride on the float.
The greening of the church will be December 6th, 9am. This is your opportunity to gather around and decorate a beautiful big Christmas tree.
Joining area churches to provide a Thanksgiving meal, providing a Santa party and gifts for area children, and sending boxes of gifts to children overseas through Samaritan's Purse are some of the Christmas ministries folks are welcome to share.
Folks are welcome to join in on any of the activities and all are invited to the Christmas Eve service of music, 5pm Christmas Eve.
And be sure to enjoy shopping for great gifts and enjoying the beautiful windows at Penland's! The Penland family has been decorating!

Blessing of the Animals
Recently, Marshall Presbyterian Church and the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit went to the dogs … cats, hamsters, and an assortment of other animals.
October 5th services at these and other churches around the world included a Blessing of the Animals. In the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi and remembering Christians' responsibility to care for God's creation, dogs and other pets received blessings during the church services. St. Francis of Assisi was a 13th century cleric who is remembered for his legendary love for all of God's creation.
The tail wagging response to the services assures that the Blessing of the Animals will be repeated next year.
