WELCOME
* CALL TO WORSHIP

One: All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to God;

One: The poor shall eat and be satisfied;
All: For dominion belongs to the Lord, and God rules over the nations.

CALL TO CONFESSION
UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you and one another in our thoughts, words and actions. The brokenness in us reflects the brokenness of our world, and it is deep and broad. Yet in your mercy and healing grace, you can restore us and empower us to walk in the way of Christ. In your mercy and healing grace, you can reform our paths toward love and justice for our neighbors and for the earth. In your mercy and healing grace, you can make your peace ‒ your shalom ‒ a reality in our communities and lives. Amen.

* ASSURANCE OF PARDON

One: God’s mercy and healing grace are sure for all. Friends, hear the good of the gospel: In Jesus Christ we are forgiven and restored. We are set on right paths of love, justice and peace.
All: Thanks be to God.

* AFFIRMATION OF FAITH (From A Brief Statement of Faith)

We trust in Jesus Christ, fully human, fully God. Jesus proclaimed the reign of God: preaching good news to the poor and release to the captives, teaching by word and deed and blessing children, healing the sick and binding up the brokenhearted, eating with outcasts, forgiving sinners, and calling all to repent and believe the gospel. Unjustly condemned for blasphemy and sedition, Jesus was crucified, suffering the depths of human pain and giving his life for the sins of the world. God raised this Jesus from the dead, vindicating his sinless life, breaking the power of sin and evil, delivering us from death to life eternal. With believers in every time and place, we rejoice that nothing in life or in death can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Presentation
One: As many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
All: There is one body and one Spirit, just as we were called to the one hope of our calling.
One: In baptism, were clothed with Christ, and are now called by God through the voice of the church to enter into ministries of service and governance, announcing in word and deed the good news of Jesus Christ.
All: We remember with joy our communion calling to serve Christ, and we celebrate God’s particular call to these sisters in the faith.
One: There are varieties of gifts, but it is the same Spirit who gives them.
All: There are different ways of serving God, but it is the same Lord who is served.
One: God works through each person in a unique way, but it is God’s purpose that is accomplished.
All: To each is given a gift of the Spirit to be used for the common good.
One: Together we are the body of Christ, and individually, members of it.
